The Ancestral Health Symposium

Hello and welcome back to The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!

Today Jimmy has more guests on at the same time than any other interview in the history of the podcast. First, he brings to you a mini-interview with Adele Hite and Pam Schoenfeld to tell you briefly about the newly-formed Committee For A Healthy Nation, a grassroots group designed to advocate for USDA dietary recommendations inclusive of and reflecting the science supported by groups such as The Nutrition and Metabolism Society and The Weston A. Price Foundation. When we say grassroots, we mean it! Pull up your sleeves and join the process by visiting to their shiny, new website. NOTE: We apologize for the poor sound quality of this portion of today’s podcast.

Next up is the main event and it’s a BIGGIE: Jimmy brings you an awesome interview with the organizers of The Ancestral Health Symposium coming to UCLA on August 5-6, 2011. This rather large group of bloggers and health professionals has a common interest in the specific type of low-carb diets that are generally grouped together under the heading of “Paleo Diets” and they are excited to tell you about this inspiring nutritional “Woodstock” event coming next year featuring anyone and everyone in the world of high-fat, low-carb living! This committee includes people you’ll recognize like Seth Roberts, author of The Shangri-La Diet, Brent Pottenger, Aaron Blaisdell and many other great minds! ENJOY and make plans to attend this historic event!

  1. Jimmy,
Will the contents presented during the symposium be available to the public? …for those of us who cannot attend… It sounded like that was the idea…

  2. Great interviews again. I wonder where you find the time to do all that work. Perhaps Adele Hite and Pam Schoenfeld can use the CutTheCarb dietary guidelines 2010 http://bit.ly/9OYe5F as a beacon to navigate on. VBR Hans

PS: Left the message also on the blog, but saw later I would have to leave it here.

  3. Awesome Pawsome! I hope this skyrockets and exceeds their expectations and reaches oodles of influential people! Can’t wait!
