While the focus of changing nutritional habits is slowly moving towards doing it for your health, there is still a great need for so many people to find something that will help them lose the undesired fat that is still lurking on their body. Anyone who has battled the bulge for any length of time will tell you how incredibly difficult this task can really be. That’s why Portland, Oregon-based fat loss specialist Jason Seib from Clackamas Physical Conditioning decided to create a brand new program to do just that. It’s called the AltShift Diet and is an e-book he created outlining the protocol he has used with so many of his clients, including his beautiful wife Sheryl who developed recipes for this plan. Jason has been testing this plan with multiple clients over the past year who have struggled with fat loss and it has worked for everyone he has tried it on so far.
Listen in as Jimmy and Jason talk about what he’s been doing the past year, his 30K View perspective, his deep concerns with the direction Paleo has taken, why fitting into the rules of Paleo isn’t necessarily the original intention, why he says Paleo isn’t a weight loss diet, why he decided to create the AltShift Diet protocol, why perfect Paleo doesn’t necessarily bring about dramatic changes, how people who have been stuck losing weight have seen success doing this plan, the foundational principles of his plan based on Paleo concepts, how eating more calories can produce fat loss, the two shifts involved in this program, whether there is any fasting involved in his program, the unbelievable success he has seen with the people who have tried it, how one of the shifts might be foreign to certain people, why your body never gets used to what you are doing, how did plan worked for Sarah Fragoso, and how diet isn’t the only factor in producing fat loss.

Sounds like a great program, seems to share some ideas with CarbNite.
Will you try it Jimmy?
To me, it sounds like a rip off of the carbnite maybe I am wrong about this? I can not help but to wonder what John Keifer thinks about it.
Most certainly NOT CarbNite. Nothing close to what Keifer promotes.
Jimmy, sorry for writing a book but I find this podcast intriguing. I have done strict nutritional ketosis for months and never got ketones above 1. Between NK and HCG I did lose 80lbs HOWEVER, for some reason, not doing anything wrong, eating an organic, whole food diet, very low carb, I gained back 30 lbs. I am frustrated beyond belief. I eat no starchy carbs, grains, sugars etc, probably average 1200 to 1500 cal/day and gain. Before changing my lifestyle, I was GAINING weight on 400 to 700 calories/day. For a while, I thought I had turned my “deranged” metabolism around but, obviously, I haven’t. Another reason I eat the way I do is to control autoimmune diabetes. Before I buy this, would I benefit?
BTW…in desperation I have started another round of HCG after over a 2 year hiatus.
It does seem true that when people try restrictive diets the good consequences are obvious early on, and the drawbacks only become apparent after time. I’m thinking of blogs where people lose lots of weight on Ornish but two years later discover they’re diabetic, or feel great eating tons of fruit and years later discover that their teeth have rotted, etc., or do great on paleo and find out later their arteries are occluded.
