  1. I don’t agree with the argument about if you go from a ketosis diet to adding more carbs back into your diet you feel better because it is like having an opioid addiction. I think the research has only been done on sugar, not a sweet potato, beans, or brown rice. The analogy was unconvincing as it stems from testimonial experiences. I tried the Keto diet, I even worked with Stephanie Person (who I adore), but it did not work for me. I had many adverse side effects that took me four months to return to baseline. Am I a bad, weak person because it did not work for me? I don’t think so. Does a ketogenic diet work? Yes, Jimmy and Stephanie are both proof. Does a higher carbohydrate work, yes, I feel so much better physically, mentally, and emotionally. I think at this stage in our dietary knowledge, we absolutely do not know for certain why some diets work for some, and not for others. The only guideline I think anyone can truly buy into is refined sugar and flour is harmful to our health, but so is eating a lot of salmon and tuna due to the mercury.

  2. As someone who supposedly researches our evolution, I find it curious that Nora thinks that we need to resist all natural urges to consume sweet whole foods. Does she really think this is some kind of flaw in our bodies? Where does she think these urges come from? Adult humans have different tastes than babies do, but humans never seem to lose the cravings for sweet tasting foods.

  3. Great interview. Jimmy is right about word of mouth. I have recommended Primal Body – Primal Mind more times than I can count. I love your work. I haven’t purchased Rethinking Fatigue yet but I loved Nora’s talk at AHS about it. That blew my mind! Especially the stuff at around 36 minutes in.
