Today’s featured lecture is with Dr. Gary Fettke addressing the topic “The Flawed Science of Nutrition—Convenience, Politics and Dollars.” Dr. Fettke is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Senior Lecturer from the University of Tasmania and he has had a longstanding interest in the preventative aspects of health, particularly prior to operating on patients. He is concerned that as we get older the health systems will be under significant stress from the overwhelming financial and health burden and believes that losing weight plays a significant role in the day-to-day management of his patients.
