Some proteins are glucogenic, and some are ketogenic? Which foods are which?
Protein in excess turns to glucose from gluconeogenesis in the liver.
So it doesn’t matter what protein we eat, it matters how much? Could excess protein be keeping me out of ketosis?

Jimmy, I’ve been on a LC Paleo diet for 1-1/2 years, and lately I’ve been ingesting a lot of non-starchy veggies along with my meats and fats, simply because I enjoy the variety it affords me. I’m concerned, though, does this mean I’m ingesting too many “carbs”? What exactly is Dr. Carlson’s definition of carbs? Sugars and starches and potatoes, or is he counting all kinds of vegetables, too? I’m talking about veggies like cucumbers, kale, spinach, lettuce, snow peas (flat kind), broccoli, califlower, peppers.
I want to lose 10 more pounds but I don’t want to cut out eating veggies. I feel it’s way too restrictive, especially since I already don’t eat grains, potatoes or sugars. But I wonder if I’m eating too many veggies?
