Nutrition and fitness expert extraordinaire Dr. Krista Scott-Dixon is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!

[podcast]http://traffic.libsyn.com/llvlcshow/LLVLC-ep-575-dr-krista-scott-dixon.mp3[/podcast]

After Jimmy met Krista at PaleoFX in Austin, Texas in March 2012, he knew he had to invite her to be on as a special interview guest on his podcast. This PhD in Women’s Studies has a genuine heart for reaching that busy woman who thinks she doesn’t have time in her schedule for eating right and exercising. She’s really quite the character as you can see first-hand at her wildly-popular women’s fitness and health web site Stumptuous.com. In fact, you may notice at the top of her web site two words that look tee-totally out of place and we dare you to click on it to see what it’s all about (you might be pleasantly surprised!). Listen in as Jimmy speaks with Krista about this two-word shocker, where low-carb and Paleo diets get it wrong (and right!) and how to engage women especially into making fitness a part of their healthy lifestyle change. This was a fun one that we hope you enjoy too!

  1. Krista’s “little randy book” truly made me laugh out loud.  Not laughing at it, mind you, but with it.  I agree with these ideas.  It was her use of a da language that cracked me up.  Especially what she wrote after “sugar is yummy.”  Truly classic.  Thanks for the link to this witty woman.

    1. She’s definitely one of those “diamonds in the rough” not a lot of people knew about…but they do now! 😀

  2. Jimmy,

Sorry for the off-topic but…I haven’t been able to download LLVC show since last week (via Zune).  My software is telling me that the RSS is an obsolete feed.  Ask the LC experts downloads fine, but the other show is giving errors.  I tried deleting and resubbing, but to no avail.  The raw feed on this page also says there’s an error.

    Thanks for everything!
    Laura

    1. Hi Laura,

Our feed recently changed. I don’t think the link in the Zune webstore will change. Apparently I’d need to buy a Zune just to tell them it needs updating!

Anyway, the new feed is http://llvlcshow.libsyn.com/rss

I hope you will be able to subscribe on your Zune using that feed URL.

      1. Thanks, that worked fine.  Just so you know, however, when you click on the link on THIS page for RSS feed (which is how I tried to rectify the feed in my software originally), it does show that there is an error in the feed.

  3. Absolutely Brilliant!
I loved this interview and look forward to spending time on her site and getting  the magazine as the charity is well worth supporting. (How many times I cringe when I see what is being offered to the low/no income for “foods”)
This is a woman who really gets it. Meeting the clients where they are at, supporting them vs shoulding on them, and finally someone who said it out loud that women athletes suffer with body image and weight issues (I see the full blown eating disordered and they are dancers, athletes and no one wants to talk about it…like if you are fit how could you have a problem with food or your body! ). I could go on and on but suffice to say Krista ROCKS!
Mahalo for turning us all on to this amazing woman and her work.
