Paleo blogger and cookbook author Melissa Joulwan is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!

Growing up around traditional food as a child, Melissa Joulwan understood the importance of family traditions and holding true to the ethnic cultures she was exposed to. But when she discovered the power of the Paleo diet and decided to start sharing some of her recipes on her “The Clothes Make The Girl” blog, it was then that Melissa decided to pass along those culinary lessons of yesteryear and share them with a newfound audience interested in eating a healthy Paleo lifestyle. Thus was born the amazing cookbook entitled Well Fed that continues in the popular trend of the various Paleo cookbooks that have released in the past year who have been on this podcast to talk about them. Enjoy hearing Melissa’s story and get inspired to hop in the kitchen and start cooking!

Yay, I love Melissa! She’s so positive and always seems like she genuinely cares and wants to help others. I’m so glad you had her on your show, really enjoyed listening! 😀
Melissa is awesome! THANK YOU for listening, April. 🙂
Was there a coupon code for EPLifeFit? I could not remember if I heard one or not on the podcast. When I went to their website there was a space for one so I thought I would ask. Thanks
THANKS Becky! No coupon code yet, but thank you for asking. 🙂
I was not quite so inspired by Melissa’s paleo family tips – especially that she says she really does not cook. Melissa has one small child who is largely at home, her challenges are minimal. I would love to hear from someone with teenagers! Now there is a real challenge. I can get my son to eat like me at home, but when he walks out the door – he is a teenager without a doubt. I am lucky that he is willing to eat all the veggies I throw his way and maybe that offers him protection against the stuff he eats outside the house.
Maybe I should blog about our spring break week next week – my teenage son has agreed to eat wheat and milk free (milk makes his acne awful). Something he can’t do while in school since the logistics of bringing a lunch just don’t work. He eats the poison.
Anyway, would love to hear from more people who eat “clean” and do it with teenagers – if you can find them.
Thanks for all the great interviews. I really do enjoy them all.
THANKS Susie! We talk about that kind of thing pretty often in the real life stories of people I feature on http://www.lowcarbconversations.com. Email me your Skype username to livinlowcarbman@charter.net if interested.
