I am a successful HCG advocate. I have lost 80 pounds on HCG. My problem was that I was not able to keep the weight off UNTIL I discovered Tom Naughton’s you-tube “Fat Fiasco” talk which took me to discover Gary Taubes. Drs. Eades and you. When I adopted a low carb diet, I was able to keep my ideal weight. So excited. It was a good option for me because even with 30 grams of carbs, I am not particularly successful at losing weight. But with the HCG, I lost fat significantly. So excited! I keep my weight off with a low carb lifestyle and love the way I eat now. It was frustrating to lose the weight with HCG and then have the weight come back on when adding starches and sugars back in, but Low-Carb living has allowed me to get healthy and looking fabulous. Never hungry!

I’ve lost weight doing the Perfect Health Diet that recommends 1-2 meals a day within 8 hour window…I chose 1 meal a day so I guess the Fast5 works, but i recommend also eating the healthy foods in the Perfect Health Diet to go with it especially since when I cheated with wheat or too much fructose, I got hungry much earlier in the day and had to eat a 2nd meal and could not maintain my 1 meal a day. So just add the right types of food to make this work.
Interesting interviews. Interesting comments. Thanks.
I think the HCg Dr. was nervous because some of the facts she presented were not correct. I have been studying HCG and doing it since 2008. The protocol is very strict about the vegetables and only a few vegetables are allowed. She also left out Apples as one of the fruits. Oranges were not on the originalprotocol. Also, the protein amount is 100 grams and that is raw weight of chicken, beef or white fish. This diet works, but the weight comes back fast if you eat sugar and starches before you are allowed. You really can never eat sugar and starches again with out gaining it all back.
She also did not mention the original protocol is written in a document called “pounds and Inches” by Dr. ATW Simeons. This is available for everyone free on the internet. I am disappointed that she was the one to represent the HCG on your show, because combining this with a low carb life style could be the answer to so many people’s problems. There is a lot of research being done, ….I could go on and on.
It’s not enough to do a little research get on the program with LCHF, adopt a lifestyle that will lose the weight you want at a couple of pounds a week and keep it off.
I’ve seldom heard such nonsense as HCG and 500 cals a day for 40 days.
Everyone loses weight do they? Well I’ll be doggone!
There always has to be a magic bullet doesn’t there? And the cost?
As for the five hour thing… Wow!
Thanks for the Bert Herring interview. I came across Fast 5 a few years ago but was not interested in fasting at that time. But since experiencing a v-e-r-y long plateau, the notion of fasting has been running through my head. Then came the fortuitous interview and I decided to try Fast 5.
I’m on day 5. Days 1-3 were no problem, day 4 brought a killer headache and general malais, and today I seem to be back to normal. I do get a bit hungry as I approach my eating window, but as soon as I down something, all is well, and I really don’t feel like eathing everything in sight, as I thought I might. The scale seems to be headed in the right direction, although I think it’s too early to celebrate.
Jimmy, I know you gave Fast 5 a try earlier this year (or was it last year?) How did you like it? I’m one of those who don’t care much for breakfast so delaying my “break-fast” till mid-afternoon was pretty easy.
