Two things-love Flylady. She’s such a genuine person and has helped me a lot. Dr. Davis is so easy to understand. I was disturbed to hear about the heart test he DOESN’T recommend, because I’ve had that very test. Oh well, too late now. Anyway, one more point. I can testify that for me, wheat IS addictive stuff. I always eat the insides out of hamburgers or subs. But I’m very aware physically of wanting to eat these sandwiches WITH the bun, because the bun feels like a drug. Seriously. I think he’s so right about this. I also recently cheated and ate fried chicken. That wheat coating got my addiction going again, and I kept eating fried chicken every nite for about a week. I had to force myself to stop eating it just one more day.

I love Flylady and you, Jimmy, but there is absolutely NO scientific evidence that alternative sweeteners raise insulin levels and then cause a crash later. As for your tests, I seem to recall awhile back that diet beverages had no effect on your blood sugars, either.

Jimmy, “stumbling” across your site over the years has changed my life. While reading online reviews of some book a few years ago, your screen-name/website caught my attention as I’ve always believed in low carb but until then was never able to stick with it. Going to your site then led me to other online LC support and now I’m 112 lighter than I was! Thank you for all you do for us!
