  1. I loved this interview! I think Nora is such a powerful speaker and conveys her message very well. And I agree with it.

The one issue I have is that I don’t feel like eating much fat anymore. It doesn’t appeal to me at all. I realize it’s the way we are “supposed” to eat. But what if you don’t feel like eating that way? I used to have a taste for fat, but I no longer do. I don’t have a taste for red meat or animal fat anymore and only want to eat poultry and seafood. This all started after a viral gastroenteritis episode that followed grassfed steak. Nuts are okay, but I don’t eat many because they’re full of omega-6. Olive oil is okay. I guess animal fat is just repulsive to me at this point. Not really sure what to do.

    1. How about coconut oil? Butter? Ghee? Lard? And what happens when you try to eat a fatty piece of meat? Do you throw it up or get nauseated? Strange.

      1. When I try to eat fatty meat, I get very nauseated. It actually does not smell or taste good to me at all (like it used to). Butter and coconut oil are okay; that’s pretty much what I use. It’s terrible. I made a taco salad tonight and had to use ground turkey breast — I used to use that when I was trying to be “good!” Now I know I should eat beef instead, but I just cannot bring myself to do it. The thought alone makes me nauseated. I don’t throw up, but I get very nauseated thinking about or smelling beef, lamb, or pork. (And I have wonderful pastured lard in the fridge that I used to eat). I hope this goes away soon.
