Dr. Raj Nijhawan, physician, teacher, researcher and healthcare activist is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore.
After working as an anesthesiologist and training scores of young physicians, Dr. Nijhawan received a National Institute of Health Scientists Training Grant. At the NIH, he earned a Master’s Degree in clinical research, became a clinical scientist, and designed and conducted medical research. He is also a healthcare leader and was recruited to run and build several medical departments in a variety of hospitals and healthcare systems.
Dr. Nijawan now believes that the US healthcare system, as it currently exists, is destroying those it is meant to serve. He has written an insightful new book called Modern Medicine Is Killing You: Start Your Healthcare Revolution Now! to explain what he sees as the current problems in the field of healthcare. Listen in as he and Jimmy share a fantastic, in-depth talk on this very serious and timely topic of discussion.

I thought this was an excellent show. Dr. Raj was very succinct and thorough in describing how messed up and disastrous our health care system is.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks Clark! I appreciated his clarity and ability to make you think.
Thanks for the support Clark. Remember, though, we need action. Whether you get the book or not, you’ve got to learn the 4 Thinking Tools and teach 10 others. Those 10 need to teach 10 others. In just 6 steps we can have a million people and start a movement that will make us healthier, wealthier, and happier as a nation! Peace
I just listened to this show. I was impressed by the doctor. We folks have to take our health in our own hands and be more conscious of our personal and family health. I come from a hispanic background. My grandmother was the family naturopath. So when there was a sick baby with colic or any other family member with an ailment Grandma knew a remedy.
We rely too much on prescription drugs. Basic hygiene is a start followed by wholesome meals and trusting God as our Master Healer.
I don’t discount doctors, by all means. But we have to do our part and try to see them as little as possible.
