I like his approach to health. I don’t neccessarily agree on having to eat every 3-4 hours, but I agree with the rest. In regards to Paleolithic man, do you think they could easily walk to the fridge every 3 hours for a snack? If your body is adept at burning fat as well as sugar, then your blood sugar won’t get to low and cause problems (like he mentioned in regards to eating every 3 hours) because it has an alternative fuel source it can use.
Great point and in an ideal world I agree. The reason I make this recommendation is because of peoples unusually high cortisol demands today. Cortisol is our primary fasting hormone, responsible for preventing blood sugar from becoming too low. Cortisol is also used during stress, most people being over stressed in our society. Stress can come from emotion stress, financial stress, internal inflammation, food allergies, toxicity, postural problems, etc.. What we find clinically is many people have low cortisol levels and therefor have a very hard time going long periods of time without food. So eating every 3-4 hours takes one stressor off the body. Again, this wouldn’t be necessary in different times, but today it seems many people struggle if they are chronically going to long without food. Hope this helps, thanks for the feedback!
