Hello and welcome back to The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Today Jimmy shares his interview with Geoff Bond, a nutritional anthropologist and author of the book Deadly Harvest: The Intimate Relationship Between Our Health and Our Food. Geoff examines the diet man evolved on and then later adapted to consume and how the newer foodstuffs seem to be the genesis behind the modern decline in our health. Listen in for a discussion of why overbred modern fruits and grains are poor fuel for our bodies and how a more traditional way of eating can help pull us away from the brink of near-universal obesity.

Great interview Jimmy. I loved his comment about toast being like sugar coated polystyrene”.
Certainly some quotable quotes in this interview from Geoff Bond. 🙂
Just at the end, just, just at the end came the question of milk, boy, if I didn’t beleive in Jimmy I would have given up milk! But Jimmy taught me to be physiologically scientific, so mammary glands from yaks didn’t convince me over! For the rest great interview on both sides!!! Thanks
THANKS for listening Guy!
Nobody deals with the fact that sugar and hybrid carbohydrates and lactose and sucrose and fructose are all addictive stimulant drugs that effect our thinking and mind and senses and emotions and our being profoundly. They are completely unnatural in the quantities and ratios that we eat and drink and consume on a daily basis. They have been for quite some time now. — So you got six billion drug addicts that don’t know that they are drug addicts and that they are effected and stimulated profusely by these drugs. Everything we think, look, see and do is effected by these drugs and we don’t know it! — Hence, the difficulty in trying to unravel this puzzle in this drugged state of consciousness we find ourselves.
I really enjoyed this interview, Jimmy! Keep up the great work! And thanks for asking him what kinds of food we SHOULD be eating…not just the foods we should avoid!
This is THE story. Great interview Jimmy. I’ll tweet it around. VBR
Enjoyed the interview, Jimmy.
Towards the end, Mr. Bond mentioned the Chinese having a good long life expectancy, which was news to me. [The remark was in context of the Chinese health authorities recommending they drink milk.]
Here’s life expectancy in some countries for the year 2000: China-71.4, Mexico-71.5, Canada-79, U.S.-77, Japan-80.7.
Chinese don’t live all that long, then, assuming we can trust the figures reported by a totalitarian Communist regime, which we can’t.

I bet most Chinese are lactose-intolerant anyway.
