You know Jimmy, when you and Nora were talking about why people just can’t seem to even TRY low-carb even if they are diabetic, I was thinking about how when I tell people I’m doing low-carb they say “Oh man, I could never do that! I couldn’t give up pasta, bread, etc”
I think that some people are just afraid to give those foods up. They feel that nothing can be better than the feeling they get when they eat them (of course we know they are wrong! :-D) I also believe this could explain why some people are so passionately against low-carb, deep-down they are afraid just to even think of what life would be like without their favorite carbs!
Great interview Jimmy and Nora- I really enjoyed it!
THANKS April! I think even worse is the lie that so many people believe — that you need to eat a “balanced” diet of all kinds of foods. But the reality is you just don’t need the breads and pastas in your body — EVER!
Man oh man thank you, I totally loved this interview! Nora you rock and are the exact opposite of the average dietary-ignorant-“medical expert” ! I hope we can have her on again Jimmy! Imagine sitting next to her and somebody like Gary Taubes, Dr. James E. Carlson and Mary C Vernon etc. around a table and just listen to their wisdom. Nora has this awesome way of analyzing something right to the bone , getting the facts, armed by real knowledge and then putting the puzzle pieces together for us by explaining it in simple layman’s terms! I am going to get her book for sure *8-)
JayCee, I’ve been privileged to do just that at several Nutrition & Metabolism conferences which is why I started our annual low-carb cruises bringing together some of the best low-carb minds in the world. Hope you can join us sometime.
Thanks Jimmy. I am planning to come on the 2011 one and it would be so awesome to have Nora’s name on the guest/speakers list 🙂
I’m gonna ask her! 😀
Thanks for another great interview, Jimmy.
After I finished listening to the interview, I went to Nora’s website to look around and then on to her radio program linked here. It is hosted by the internet talk radio site “VoiceAmerica” which has a variety of other programs as well. You have to register to access all the programs but it is FREE. I did and loaded up my mp3 player with most of her shows. I just listened to the one about thyroid and iodine and it is quality stuff. I would urge others to check it out as well – especially if you liked what you heard in this interview with Jimmy.
I just discovered that all of her radio programs/interviews, etc are listed directly on her website and much easier to access and record from there. http://www.primalbody-primalmind.com/lectures-workshops.html
I found the voiceamerica site difficult to navigate.
THANKS Rosemarie! Her shows are also available easily and for FREE on iTunes. 🙂
Jimmy, you’re always promoting other people’s books in some way. May I suggest that you have an interview for yourself (like you did about a year ago) where a person will interview YOU and allow you to explain how the book came about, what it contains, it’s purpose etc. I think it would be a great hit. Whattaya say?
I just had Dr. Jonny Bowden interview me in October 2009 about the work I’m doing and it included questions about my book. Check out Episode 300. Plus, I’m being invited on other people’s shows to talk about my work, so there’s no need for me to be self-serving on my own show. I appreciate your idea!

I agree with him that Nora has the whole package. She’s awesome. I was a bit puzzled when Mark Sisson said he had read the book but he didn’t have much to say about it. Does he have a beef with her? How can you not think it’s brilliant?
