Hello and welcome back to The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Today Jimmy is presenting a truly outstanding conversation with Dr. Barnet Meltzer, a longtime physician who considers himself a “Doctor of Wellness.” Dr. Meltzer discusses in this interview about how Western medicine is centered around disease rather than health, why you may not see dangers in your doctor’s prescribed test results until you’ve almost experienced organ failure, how to know if permanent weight loss surgery might be your best option or not, and the role of a condition he refers to as “appetitis” (a swelling of the appetite) in today’s obesity epidemic!
All of this and more in today’s can’t-miss episode! And be sure to click on the link below for more information on Jimmy’s upcoming Global TeleClass on surviving the upcoming holiday eating season!

Boy, this guy sure talks a lot without saying much.
LOL! Thanks for sharing your comments, Louise.
While I agree with the concept of will power and discipline to an extent, this guy makes it sound like once you’ve yo-yo dieted that that’s it for you – you’ll never lose and weight and keep it off. I can’t get behind that because it ain’t true.
I agree, Vicky! And I tried to make that point in the interview.
he’s just part of the problem…sort of emblematic of it…
After listening to the podcast, I went to his website to find out if he is still advocating a vegetarian diet. I signed up for the free Wellness Tips since he has recipes there. Sure, enough, they are some of the same vegetarian recipes I learned from him 30 years ago. Too bad the subject of WHAT he advocates eating in his new book didn’t come out. He pretty much blew off the insulin-response question you brought up, Jimmy. I believe he is in severe cognitive dissonance after all these years.
