“Encore Week” at my podcast show this week has been a phenomenal success with FIVE one-hour interviews. The feedback for these interviews has been extremely positive as people have learned from the wisdom and experiences of these bona fide experts in the field of low-carb nutrition.

In Episode 216 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we hear from the incredible Dr. Mary C. Vernon, co-author of Atkins’ Diabetes Revolution. Of all the podcast guests I’ve ever featured, Dr. Vernon is the one people consistently want to hear more from as exemplified by the questions they have for her.

In today’s podcast, she answers such topics as is low HDL be genetic, how can I approach a doctor about using a low-carb approach to health, what can be done about a high fasting blood glucose level, can saturated fat raise insulin levels, how do you motivate your clients on a low-carb plan, and so much more! You never have to worry about what Dr. Vernon thinks about an issue–she’s gonna tell you and back it up with the facts!

And don’t miss her announcement at the beginning of the podcast about a new program she and Dr. Eric Westman at Duke are implementing in 2009 to educate physicians across America about how to implement low-carb nutrition with their patients. GET INVOLVED WITH THIS PROGRAM! You can contact Dr. Vernon directly about signing up your family doctor in this program by e-mailing mvernonmd@yahoo.com. If you wanted to know how to get more doctors to start promoting livin’ la vida low-carb to their patients (like these doctors do!), then this could be just what we need to make that happen.
