Go to any bookstore and browse through the diet and health books section and you will find a dime a dozen books in there about what you should do to lose weight. Weight loss has become a multi-billion dollar industry because people have this idea that they can eat a certain way for a while to lose weight and then go back to their old way of eating with no consequences. But you and I both know this is a sure-fire way of gaining weight back and returning to those old habits that got us fat in the first place. It’s a ruthless and merciless cycle that people put themselves through time and time again.

But in Episode 181 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we hear from Dr. Barbara Berkeley from Cleveland, Ohio who has written an incredible new book entitled Refuse to Regain!: 12 Tough Rules to Maintain the Body You’ve Earned! who outlines steps for people to follow AFTER they have lost the weight and are preparing to keep their weight managed for life! She’s been involved in this subject matter for two decades and says weight maintenance all comes down into two main central points: what you eat and how many calories you consume. Hear how these congeal into the thesis for her book.

What do you think about Dr. Barbara Berkeley’s theory about long-term weight management? Is it all about the kind of foods you consume and calories? Read her “Refuse to Regain” blog and pick up a copy of the book Refuse to Regain!: 12 Tough Rules to Maintain the Body You’ve Earned! if you liked what you heard from Dr. Berkeley today and want to learn more. And if you’re in the Cleveland area and want to see Dr. Berkeley, see her listing on my “List of Low-Carb Doctors” blog to find out how to make an appointment with her.
