Bonnie Matheson, author of Ahead of the Curve: An intimate conversation with women in the second half of life is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show With Jimmy Moore!
Bonnie Matheson has a mission to address the needs of women “in their second fifty years.” In today’s episode she talks with Jimmy about how doctors define a woman’s lifespan by the health issues that accompany each stage of life and how even pregnancy is treated as a disease or disorder. To a doctor, a mature woman is “premenopausal,” “menopausal,” “peri-menopausal” or “post-menopausal.” Bonnie doesn’t care for that way of thinking and she has plenty of good thoughts of her own to share about women’s health and well being. Listen in for her insightful perspective.
PLUS: Don’t miss a special mini-interview with Mark Sisson of Mark’s Daily Apple as he talks at length about his brand new Primal Fuel low-carb meal replacement shakes and explains why a caveman would feel at home sipping away on this product!

Great interviews. Bonnie going back to school at age 50!….I’ve got to read her book. Also, I was glad to hear Mark explain the Primal Fuel a little better…I’ve had mixed feelings about it.
THANKS for listening, Donna! 🙂
