Deborah Williamson was glad to return to farm life after living in New York City, but when she opened her Seven Oaks U-Pick lavender farm she quickly discovered the sorry state of the local farmers’ ability to market their wares. Using her big-city marketing skills, she help to develop Farmer Girls as a collective marketing and sales tool for the high quality farms and ranches in her area. The secret was an amazing bit of software that combines web site, billing, fulfillment and payment all together.
FarmerGirl.net is now encouraging other local farming groups around the US and across the globe to form similar groups using their software which brings local consumer and small, high-integrity farms together.
