Hello. I have been researching the topic of ketosis in pregnancy as have been using it to control latent autoimmune diabetes and wish to continue through my pregnancy as am 2 months pregnant. My only concern is no body seems to adress the topic of epigenetics. Ketosis metabolicly mimics starvation, especially if ketone are high like mine (average 6) how do we know this does not send starvation signals to foetus? Thus unless baby is on ketogenic diet for life will suffer from obesity due to the thrifty gene being switched on?
Thanks
Ruth
