When veteran health podcaster, blogger, and author Jimmy Moore from “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” met up with his bariatric physician, family doctor, and osteopath friend Dr. Adam Nally from DocMuscles.com in Arizona back in October, they discussed the idea of doing a podcast together addressing questions all about the low-carb, high-fat, ketogenic diet. As a means for testing the waters of this concept, they conducted a Periscope video answering questions from Jimmy’s followers. That’s the audio you’ll hear in this special Episode 0 debut episode today and brand new 20-minute episodes will begin airing on Thursday, January 7, 2016. During the month of January, we’ll air episodes on Thursdays and Sundays beginning next week and then settle in to the permanent Thursday time slot starting in February. Welcome in to “Keto Talk with Jimmy Moore & The Doc” and we hope you enjoy listening.

  1. How do I find the new podcast….and what is is really called?
I am searching Jimmy and the doc’s name and nothing comes up In iTunes! Help!

But the way, how do I get out of a year long stall?
I never cheat….it has been a year and no weight loss….I am quite dismayed….the Keto diet should show better results, should it not?

By he way…so far the hardest part of the diet is that I hate, hate, hate coconut milk and avocados. Jimmy often suggests to slice avocado over eggs….but why would you want to ruin the eggs? Avocados are just bland green slimy goo…not buttery and creamy as some suggest. I buy cream and butter every week and avocados are neither!!!!!

So what should I eat to ingest enough fat?

I intermittent fast every day…usually 23 hours. It is a snap. Sometimes I get hungry…so I just drink some sparkling water to curb the hunger.

Thanks, good luck with the new show…I am sure it will be smashing!

As for your question about lack of weight loss on keto is a complex one. Are you testing for ketones in the blood? How about blood sugar? What does your typical meal plan look like on your ketogenic diet? Plus, you do realize a ketogenic diet isn’t about weight loss, right? Additionally, there are many other factors involved in weight regulation outside the realm of nutrition, including stress, sleep, medications, hormone regulation, and more. I’m happy to take this to Adam for us to address in a future episode. THANKS for writing!

      In the meantime,
